Our Coaches:

- This season our teams will work in groups by age level to ensure continuity of training across age levels and the club. Coaches will come to practices with pre-planned drills, activities and goals to achieve. There will be ongoing dialogue between all coaches and the Coaching Director to ensure quality practices as well as regular monitoring of practices by the Coaching Director.
Coach Becky Zelesnikar
Becky is a 4th Grade teacher in the Greece School District where she serves as the JV Coach for the Greece Arcadia Titans. She is a 1997 graduate of Moravia HS where she was a 4 year starting varsity setter. Her honors and recognition include All County Honorable Mention, All County 1st team and 2 year Team Captain. Becky went on to play Defensive Specialist at St John Fisher College for four years where she was a 3 time Team Captain, helping her teams to 4 winning seasons including an NCAA Division III tournament appearance.
Becky is in her 4th season with Crossroads Volleyball and is a founding member of the club. She has served as Head Coach of the FURY 18 team the past 3 seasons and Coaching Director the past 2 years. In addition to coaching, she is responsible for Coach recruiting and direction. Prior to Crossroads, Becky coached 6 years for the Primo Volleyball Club with experience coaching at the 12U, 14U and 16U levels. Becky is IMPACT and CAP I certified. Her DESIRE, DEDICATION and DETERMINATION make her a great leader and invaluable asset to the club.
Coach Dan Hosenfeld
Dan is a Special Education teacher at Webster Schroeder H.S. where he teaches 11th and 12th grade Social Studies and co-teaches a General Chemistry and Forensics course. A 1989 graduate of Bishop Kearney, Dan contributed to the Kings reaching the Section V finals and Regional finals while earning Section V All-Star honors his senior year. Dan continued his volleyball career helping to create, coach and play for the St. John Fisher's Men's Club team during and after college. Dan has served as Head Coach of both boys and girls high school volleyball for 9 years at the JV and Varsity level and is currently the Program Assistant for the Webster Thomas Girls Volleyball program. Dan continues his passion for volleyball by playing in competitive leagues as well as Charlotte Beach during the summer.
Dan is excited to begin his first year with Crossroads Volleyball. He spent the last 5 years coaching the 16-18 age levels at Xtreme VBC and is IMPACT certified. Dan is a welcome addition to Crossroads Volleyball and will be a vital part of the program with his years of experience.
Coach Ron Cornwell
Ron has been involved in every aspect of the game of volleyball for 22 years. He began playing the sport during high school in the Buffalo area and later returned to the sport as the Spencerport Boys Varsity coach where he coached for 5 years. In 1990 his team won Section V Class B title and earned state runner-up to Eden HS. After the 1991 season Ron began a 15 year run at the collegiate level, serving as Assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at Genesee Community College. His duties included coaching, recruiting, personal development, national and regional statistics, tournament director and other team activities as needed. During that time, GCC’s women’s team went to Nationals 13 of those 15 years, in places from Miami, Florida to Orem, Utah to Columbus, Ohio to Phoenix, Arizona. Ron left the GCC program this past fall to take on an endeavor of a lifetime: the formation of the Boys’ Volleyball program in the Greece Central School District. Through his hard work and dedication, Boys’ volleyball is back in Greece and Ron plans to continue growing the program at each level throughout the district. Ron has coached for the Primo Volleyball club and is a New York State and USVA certified referee. He is both IMPACT and CAP I certified and will bring extensive knowledge, dedication and passion to the Crossroads Volleyball program. Ron is very excited about this opportunity and sees it as yet another way for him to grow as a coach.

Coach Ashley Aman
Ashley is currently an Elementary School teacher for Wayne Central as well as the JV coach for the girls volleyball program. Ashley is a 2004 graduate of Wayne Central and a 2008 graduate of Keuka College. She has a degree in Elementary and Special Education and will begin graduate studies next fall. Ashley was a 4 year stand-out outside hitter at both Keuka College and Wayne Central. Ashley served as co-captain for 3 seasons while at Keuka and 2 years at Wayne. She served as a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Council and was the female representative for the Keuka at the NCAA Leadership Conference. In 2006 Ashley was named the NYS and Keuka College Student Employee of the Year for her duties as head lifeguard. While at Wayne, Ashley was a 4 year starter, 3 year team MVP, 3 year team co-captain and 3 year Finger Lakes East 1st team selection. Additionally, Ashley played 7 years of club volleyball with the Primo Volleyball Club and Volley FX, including 1 year with the VFX Magic 18-1 team.
This is Ashley's 2nd year coaching with Crossroads Volleyball, having coached the FIRE 16 team last season. Ashley has also coached several recreational camps and clinics and is IMPACT certified. Ashley is certified in First Aid, CPR, AED and is certified to teach these courses as well as lifeguarding. Ashley brings a great deal of enthusiasm and love for the game of volleyball to Crossroads.
Coach Jess Hays
Jess is a 2007 graduate of Canandaigua Academy where she played 6 years of volleyball, earning 2 Varsity letters. She was a member of the 2005 Class A State runner-up team, served as Co-Captain her senior year, earned honors as a Section 5 Class AA All-Star and achieved the highest serve percentage and service aces in both years of her varsity campaign. Jess played 6 years of club volleyball and is a founding member of Crossroads Volleyball. She has experience as a setter and outside, middle and right side hitter. Jess is currently a sophmore at Keuka College where she is enrolled in the Unified Childhood Education program, is a student assistant coach with the Keuka Storm volleyball team, is a student mentor and is involved in the Big Brother-Big Sister program. Jess' coaching experience also includes 2 summers as a camp counselor for 5th-8th graders at Canandaigua Academy in 2004 & 2005.
This is Jess' 2nd year as a coach with Crossroads Volleyball. She served as Head Coach of our FEVER 16 team last season. Jess brings a strong knowledge and understanding of the game along with a great passion for and dedication to the sport and players. She is IMPACT certified.
Coach Becky Rouland
Becky is a founding member and Alumni of CROSSROADS VOLLEYBALL. A 2006 graduate of Midlakes HS, Becky played 4 years of varsity volleyball as the starting setter for the Screaming Eagles. Her honors and recognition were numerous and included Finger Lakes East All-League 2nd Team, 2 year Finger Lakes East Honorable Mention, Team MVP and MIP honors, 2 year Team Captain, Exceptional Senior, 3 time Jason Owens Memorial Award recipient for her leadership, 3 year feature in Who's Who Among American High School Students, Sports Edition and a Daily Messenger Prep Profile. She played Club Volleyball for 5 years. She is currently attending Geneseo State College with studies in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
This is Becky's 3rd year coaching with Crossroads Volleyball, having served as assistant Coach for Fury and Head Coach of Fate; she is IMPACT certified and has completed her athletic coaching certification. She has worked and volunteered for many years with Pee Wee volleyball and summer youth coaching programs as well as performing referee duties. Becky's positive attitude, enthusiasm, knowledge and leadership make her a great asset to the club and team.
Assistant Coach Paul Bialobok
Paul is a graduate of RIT where he began playing volleyball in 1987 on the men's club team. He has many years of playing experience in both USVBA indoor and WEVA sand tournaments and continues to play weekly at Hotshots. Paul is employed as a retail manager in the wine and spirits business and serves actively in the Army National Guard where he leads numerous training events
This is Paul's first year of coaching with Crossroads Volleyball. Paul served as an aide during practices last season with both Fury and Fusion. He will complete his IMPACT certification this Fall. As an avid athlete, Paul brings a competitive spirit, vast knowledge of the game, and a desire to foster player improvement to the club.
Assistant Coach Tom Carroll
Tom started playing volleyball in 1992 and continues to be an active participant to date. In 1999, Tom started referee duties for Hot Shots Volleyball. In 2003 he became a member of the New York State Certified Volleyball Officials Association and began referee duties for scholastic volleyball. That same year he began referee duties for Junior Olympic Volleyball as a USA Volleyball [USVA] provisional referee. In 2005, Tom was certified as a USVA Regional Official. Tom has refereed at both boys and girls national qualifiers. He has a combined 17 years of volleyball experience as a player, referee and coach.
This is Tom's 3rd year coaching with Crossroads Volleyball, having served the past 2 years as a coach for our FORCE 16 team. He is IMPACT certified. Tom brings a sincere and genuine desire to improve the level of youth volleyball in our area to the club. His knowledge of technique and the overall game will provide added expertise to the learning environment for our players.
Assistant Coach Melanie Cornwell
Melanie is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport HS where she played 3 years of Varsity Volleyball. She then went on to play for Genesse Community College, a perennial powerhouse. During her HS years, Melanie played 3 years of club volleyball with the very successful Rochester Primo Volleyball Club. Most recently, Mel has served as the program assistant for the newly formed Greece Storm Boys’ Varsity Volleyball program. Mel brings extensive playing experience as well as coaching knowledge to Crossroads Volleyball and looks forward to the opportunity to coach at the club level.
This is Melanie's first year of coaching with Crossroad's Volleyball.
